It IS better to have a general with higher medals in a catagory, i.e., artillary, infantry and less hit points than the opposite, cause "a good offense is a good defense". Tip the scales! that's what this game is ALL about. If you're in play catchup scenario...you won't most often, I found.

    It is always better to a General that is high LVL in their unit. For Example, Gen. Eisenhower can be used for any unit but Rommel will preform best as a tank com. not an infantry comander. OK.
