    I really recommend following Benjy's instructions. That movie teaches you all the basics. Anyway... -Smash Attacks are strong, but leave big openings. Be careful about using them. -Don't use the same move too much. Not only will you become predictable, but the move will be weaker as well. -Try to narrow your focus down to your favorite characters. It'll make them easier to master.

    The how to play video will help a lot. After you watch that and get the basics, read this: A good thing to do would be to find a "main." Which is basically a character you like the play style of, and believe that you can become extremely good with. Think of the roster as a deck of cards, some are good in certain situations, but bad in others. You'll have to find who and where for yourself.
