Personally I think Zelda U is gonna take place BEFORE Skyward Sword. Its that one line in SS when your receiving the sail cloth that zelda says "They say that long ago the goddess gave the sail cloth to her chosen hero" and who do we see with a sail cloth in zelda u? Link, the hero chosen by the gods!

    I honestly think it would take place after Skyward Sword. I don't really have any theories or relative evidence for why I think so but what you said makes some sense :)

    I think it takes place before Skyward Sword too. That robot crab with lasers looks awfully similar to the little robots that you can only see by using time-shift stones.

    I also think that Zelda U could be before Skyward Sword :-). Like, the robot who attacked Link in the E3 trailer, since it is really similar to the robot that liked Fi in terms of construction and design :-). Also we haven't seen Link in his green tunic so it could indicate that Zelda U takes place before Skyward Sword, but it could also just be his starting clothes ;^^.

    It's either before or after Skyward Sword. And did anyone noticed that Link's blue clothes are extremely similar to the one in The Wind Waker? It's interesting to think it has some sort of connection.

    Yes, but keep in mind that SS is the very first in the official LoZ timeline.

    These are all interesting. A lot of what I've heard, not just from you guys but also a buch of other people, is that it takes place before or after SS. I'm currently playing through SS again, and I will definitely keep an out for any connection that gives a hint to where zelda u takes place!

    @godras: It is the CURRENT first game in the series, doesn't mean they cant add one thats even earlier. Was any trace of hylian shown in zelda u so far? A thought just struck me, hylian like any language changes over time right, so if there was hylian shown in zelda u we could compare that to the hylian in the other games and use that to get a rough idea of when the game takes place.
