I see a lot of people asking what these hotspots are but no one seems to have the answer.

I don't think that's a good present because we have a Wii U and we can see your text on Wii U and probably no one else can see it on any other console. So...people with 3DS don't know this is happening.

Nintendo Zones are found at locations with AT&T WiFi hotspots. So you could go to McDonald's, Starbucks, or Barnes & Noble for streetpasses.

Technically speaking, any router that has an SSID of "attwifi" acts as a Nintendo Zone StreetPass location.

Most electronics stores (Such as BestBuy) are nintendo zone locations, for those of you who are asking. they are also located at other retail locations, and even McDonalds.

@Kiro, actually, there are Nintendo Zones at my local McDonald's and Starbucks. For those wondering, they're special internet-connected hotspots that let 3DS/2DS users access stuff that they can't just access through their home internet connection, like this event. @Ashlyn, actually, Miiverse is accessible through 3DS/2DS systems, as well as through normal internet-connected computers.

Barely got lucky to found a Nintendo Zone when I went out of town for some new pet stuff. Upsetting that the nearest Nintendo Zone is about 50 miles away then plus another 50 miles getting back home so that makes 100 miles all together.

Things i want in the next Wii U update: 1: The ability to navigate the wii u settings with wii u pro controler and or wii remote... 2: The ability to used a wii u pro controler or wii u gamepad as a clasic controller in wii mode for games that suport clasic controler 3: faster data transfer from storage to wii u and vise-versa. 4: Instant mesege system

All these international streetpasses and I'm STILL stuck on the last monarch in Warrior's Way (still on my 1st run). I "love" streetpassing people with 3 miis in their plaza or people whose armies surpass my army by a HUGE margin. Time was this was my 2nd favorite game from the 4 premium games, but now, not so much. Favorite to least favorite: Monster Manor, Mii Force, Flower Town, Warrior's Way.

Mcdonald's is best, you can stay outside usually and get the Streetpasses.
