Question

This isn't meant to be insulting. But please give me some input; online, people are very good at making combos. But sometimes all they use is this combo (i.e. Pikachu tosses you into air then uses Thunder) and so I then consider that the only way that person can win is with such a combo. I don't make combos, I fight rough and seriously but many combo spammers make it hard to like.

    you gotta figure out how to avoid that combo then! combos are what get you wins. they are rather tough to do though lol

    The only character I can get a combo with is Shulk first I use Air Slash follow up with Back Slash then try for a counter with Vison and if it succeeds I use Back Slash once more.

    i dont think you're wrong per se. we all get annoyed at times with certain moves. i had a frustrating fight against wario who just kept riding back and forth so you had a hard time hitting him. just need to adapt and fight harder! makes the game more rewarding at times.

    When someone is using the same combo again and again, its easy to pick up on their habits, therefore letting you defend, and then punish the other player. If the combo starts with a grab, spot dodge then side smash, thats how I deal with most grabs.

    I don't mean to sound rude(Over the internet it's hard not to sound rude) but i think people that use these combos want to A. Try to show off a bit which I can be accused of B. Trying to end you in a fancy way which again I can be accused of or C. Try to rack up damage personally I don't like people who use the same Combo over and over it just sucks out the fun of the game.

    See, spot dodge isn't handy because they continuously grab. Believe me, this post exists beause I've tried almost everything. I got the game the day it came out, suggestions aren't good advice to people like me.

    Usually every combo starts with a D-throw so avoid the grab. when someone spot dodges too much I charge up smash expecting a spot dodge then let go at right time. If they always roll behind u the charge smash or grab the other way amd if they roll farther away continue running and grab or dash attack. I hope these helpful tips help u.

    The annoying part about grabs....You can't counter them with any source of a counter move which just renders characters like Lucina,Marth,and Shulk defenseless against grabs because their only strip of countering a attack is gone.

    Sadly yes like you said poor Pikachu is a great example of this they grab throw you in the air then thunder you to death...

    How to counter grabber.1:jump 2:use forward tilt or just A. The A button can combo ex: jab-jab-grab-dthrow-whatevercombo 3:if they run and sheild grab them while they sheild. 4:if they roll behind you and grab down smash, forward tilt the other way, charge smash the other way or pivit grab.
