    1. depends on the monster ur fighting if its a ratholos or rathian use a lightning longsword (which is its weakness) 2. get materials from monsters but if ur fighting a ratholos be sure to were fire resistant armor

    If you just keep on playing, more stuff unlocks as you defeat more monsters. Just keep playing! It gets way more fun as you go along.

    No problem! I strongly recommend bringing a pickaxe everywhere you go if you're planning on forging anything. Pretty much every item you find can be useful in the future.

    you'll unlock the armors and weapons in a shop when you obtained at least 2 (not sure) kinds of the materials needed to forge it. so as long as you're fighting a monster multiple times, and breaking its parts on the way, you'll unlock their armors in the shop.
