    The Apothecary mixture that upgrades items permanently for one battle is extremely effective. The Light Arrows do extreme damage to enemy captains and completely devestate the regular enemies around them and the Super Bombs (probably not the official name for it, but it reminds me of one from A Link to the Past) greatly reduce the time needed to capture the keeps.
