  • I agree that if you only have a 3DS, it might be better to wait for MH4U.

  • Hero how much money do you get for this commercial? ;) I will definitely wait for the MH4U bundle. The controls will be better, I won't have to unlearn the handling from MH3 - and - MH4U will come soon! Meanwhile I have many great titles to play.

  • Ha ha. If only CAPCOM knew how much I was plugging their game to the public. That is wise summerwind. For 3DS only players, it's best to wait until MH4U comes out.

  • On the 3ds eshop it says the 3ds version has online play, what's that all about?

  • I'm surprised they haven't fixed this in the eshop description because there are SOOO many people who get fooled by this. Let me elaborate here... MH3U was first released in Japan on the 3DS with absolutely no way to play with others online. The Monster Hunter franchise is HUGE in Japan, so CAPCOM didn't feel the need for including online play sine so many people in Japan have the game...

  • In Japan, local multiplayer weas all that was needed. When MH3U was ported to the Wii U, online play was added. CAPCOM did technically include a way for western audiences to play online on the 3DS version, but it's almost not worth it. In order to play MH3U online for the 3DS system, you need a Wii U and a wired LAN cable...

  • Then on the Wii U eshop you need to buy an app called "Monster Hunster 3 Ultimate Packet Relay Tool for Nintendo 3DS." When you boot this system up, you can play on your 3DS and join any online room. You cannot create your own room on the 3DS. And when playing online using the 3DS, you need the Wii U to text or voice chat in the online room as well. So with all of these obstacles to overcome,...

  • If you have a Wii U it's best just to play online using the Wii U MH3U game. If you only have a 3DS I feel the game is still a blast to play single player. I have a few friends who are 3DS only players who love this game. This game can EASILY keep you occupied for hundreds of hours. If you have 3DS friends who would be interested in MH3U as well, they you can connect up to 4 3DS systems...

  • together in local multiplayer and then the fun goes up exponentially. MH3U is also unique in that the Wii U can play locally with up to 3 3DS systems. You can also tranfer your file between the two systems. Other then online play, the two games are identical. That's the benifit of porting a 3DS game to the Wii U...

  • That's great news Daniello. I hope my explanation helps answer some questions. I should also add that this sale is for the eshop and I don't know if it includes the physical 3DS cartridge as well. If you feel confident that single player will keep you satisfyed, then go for it. It is a great game regardless. If you want to wait a little longer, MH4U will be released exclusively on the 3DS later...

  • Great. You've got two fantastic games. They are both challenging, but so rewarding. Don't be afraid to ask miiverse for help. I'm downloading Mario Bros. Deluxe. I haven't played it since it was originally on the Gameboy Color system.
