starting another playthrough a whole year exactly after the first playthrough when I got this on my wiiu and was giving out tips like crazy :P

dude i have dragon quests 4,5, and 6 on rhe ds and 9. They're all excellent. 5, it took me a long time to actually beat because when i was younger, the main dudes look just...i couldnt get past it, it took me a couple years, after, and decided to power through his look xD and im glad i did. and now, i have all 3 slots beaten, each with the 3 different wives you can pick. xD

Heroes is from omega, so im sure its going to be dynasty warriors :P i want them to bring over DQ10, even if they make it p2p. I would be totally cool with it.

They're also remaking DQ 7 from the ps1 on the 3ds! gah, I really want them to release it here but I highly doubt they will because it's sooo text heavy. So I'm probably gonna be importing that game as well, even if I can't play it.

sooo text heavy, and such a huge, time consuming game* I remember it's easily 100 hours long, and that was before the time of shitloads of side-quests.

Dragon Quest VIII IS fantastic. A good chunk of post-game content too. DQHeroes makes me want a ps4, other things like KH 3 and FFantasyXV but this was the last straw. Whoa you beat V with all wives that's awesome! I heard the new dark haired girl is funny because she's mean or something.

And...wait they ARE bringing VII to 3ds? That's great, because I'm hoping for Dragon Quest VIII to be re-released too in HD. As far as Monster Hunter I don't have it, but I did play the demo for 3 Ultimate, good stuff. Don't have internet for WiiU atm, I use my friends'. I would if I could, so much fun when you get the hang of it.

Yea the dark haired girl you can marry was actually in the snes version as well, she's the blue haired girls older sister but you couldn't marry her in it.

and yea they're bringing 7 to the 3ds and making it so you can see all your people in battle and when they change jobs, their look changes as well, AND they all have different looks from each other in every job, so they look different, even if they're all the same jobs.

Nah I just played things in between or related to your posts, like Grandia 2 but not Grandia 1. Oh yeah in Dragon Quest news, VII is already on 3ds in Japan and Square-Enix want to bring it over. The problem is there's more text to localize than the previous games and they're not sure if it would sell enough if they bring it to N. America. They're going to re-release the DS games, including DQ ...

DQ Monsters and the Rocket Slime games, for 3ds in Japan. Yep. :/. Oh yeah, Grandia 1 does look fun though. I was spoiled by the Dreamcast Grandia 2 graphics when it came out, so when I saw Grandia 1 a year later it looked primitive. The demo was fun though.

yea they are a bit dated :P i loved grandia 2 also, when i played it. i remember i rented a dreamcast and grandia 2 and was super glad i did, but couldnt save because you couldnt rent memory cards xD so i got as far as i could over the weekend without turning the console off :P

i read an article about that as well for dragon quest 7, and they say "we keep thinking about it, and we keep thinking it won't be justifiable to hire solid translators and such" which i can sympathize with *to a point* because i've seen a picture and the script for the game is literally a mountain of high grade, big a$$ binders that hold thousands of pages each, and..

.. it looked like there were about 30 of those binders all stacked on each other, with a rope barrier surrounding it. if they hired people to translate all of that, and then no one bought the game, it would be disastrous. So yes i can sympathize with that, but like i said, *to a point* because they ALSO thought there wasn't an audience here before for jrpg's when they made bravely default..

and look how amazing that game did here. so good in fact, sqeenixs' president was forced to write an open letter basically saying how badly wrong they were about the west having no audience for jrpgs. So yea i call bs on them thinking theres no audience here to justify translating the game. they're also making a sequel to bravely default called bravely second, it did so well.

I also wanted to ask, since i'm almost finished with grandia, would there be an rpg that you'd like to see me play? at least from the nes,snes,ps1 days xD i'd love to do more modern games but i dont have a dvr to record off my tv with :/ so im forced to use emulators

you should check out my vandal hearts videos, that game is fantastic and got severely overlooked because of FF tactics. the 2nd one sucked though.

just finished grandia, booya! was by far the longest game i've done, took 71 videos around 30 minutes on average. took 41 in game hours to beat xD
