    You need to deal damage to him as he swims. When you've slapped him around enough, one of the Shakalaka will say you have done so and the Ceadeus will race to area 3 faster than usual (chances are it'll leave you in the dust). Aim for the beard.

    Destroy the beard before he gets to area 3. If you don't he retreats automatically and you lose.

    also try a thunder or dragon element weapon or a weapon with high atk. i recommend lagi weapons.
