I'm not a fan i just watched the first season of pokemon "Pokemon the first movie" and it showed that no pokemon other than mew could defeat mewtwo it was pretty cool !

Lol, in the gen I and II games as well as their remakes, you can battle Mewtwo in a cave near Cerulean City after you've defeated the champion of the Elite Four, or in FR/LG's case, after you finish the afterplot story.

Pokemon Origins was a four-episode animated special based on Red and Blue, incorporating Mega Evolution in the very end and, most importantly, starring Red, not Ash.
