  A long day at the Agency of Detectives has gone by. I was the officer checking every night with my flashlight and working the admission booth. I'd look up and see the inspector end her shift at 10pm and leave with the lieutenant. But she stayed later. I saw silhouettes of two and heard mo@ning and smooching inside the office. "Just 2 more minutes before the shift ends.." I said. and sighed.

  They were done playing cat and mouse and finally decided to leave. As they walked out the door one final kissed sealed their night. My watch timer beeped, it was over. I hopped in my car to go back home to my apartment. Pay day was tomorrow. And the boss thinks it's mandatory to give the bigger job the bigger check. And I never earned a lot. The inspector and lieutenant always slacked.

  As I got home, I plopped my bag on the table, and laid in bed. I quickly shut my eyes... And fell asleep for the horrible pay ahead.

  The next day, I relived a bad morning again, and headed off to work. I parked my car, and went to work to check in. Everyone was there waiting in a row for their checks. I got the lowest, even though I worked the hardest. I went outside to the admission booth to work. An hour later, I got a call from the boss. I was needed with the inspector. I was surprised, but the job was only temp.

  I talked to the boss, and came up the elevator. The Master Inspectors office was up ahead. Even though it was a temporary job, it meant the world. I finally reached the door and crashed into the desk. "H-Hello!" I said, and picked up my camera, papers, and magnifying glass.

  I then ran into the the other office and ran into the desk again, dropping everything. I then saw.. Her.. Red-Hand's eyes were covered by her hair, but I knew she was pretty. I picked up everything. But my shaggy, black hair stuck out my cap. I fixed it, also brushed my self down and fixed my messenger bag. I looked up and blushed from ear to ear. "I-I'm here for the job" I said.

  As she left the office, I started to look over the files in her desk. One file was from the recent crime. I took that one, and scoured some more. I found an unsent letter to the lieutenant attracted with a red lipstick stain. She was heading back to the office, so I quickly put everything away and put away the file along with a red rose I had.

  I took a quick look at the file, and put it in my bag. I then took out the rose I put away. 'When am I going to do this?' I thought, and walked away in questioning. After my flashlight and admission gate watching, I went home and fell asleep.
