If however you have stepped into the 21st century and wish to play these game modes online with your friends, nintendo have decided to screw you over. Again. Get a grip nintendo, we can't even talk to our friends online while playing because the wii u doesn't have a little thing called party chat. Why would we even want that in 2014?
If i get banned from playing online forever will i have to get another Smash Bros Wii U game to play online? make a good first impression to sell coz the buy to support is now over, it had to happen sometime and now its down to see if Nintendo can keep up. 1 VC game a week, indie games nobody cares for and a lack of 3rd party support hasn't helped and Nintendo know it so now they are after developers but now there is figures that improve games that cost nearly as much as a eshop card.
i'd hate to be able to play multiple gamemodes with my friends in 2014 because as we all know that's not possible with our current technology. we can only pull such things off in 2007

1) I don't think praty chat has ever been a thing that's ever been NEEDED in a fighting game
2) the game's online mode DOS saport party chat when playing with friends, you use the Wii-U gamepad mic. to use it… you just can't use it during a match cos it would create to much lag

in gamecube era this would have been amazing, but now progressing together with friends after school is ..dead. are we expected to bring over our whole Wii U consoles when our friends have one themself?

Saukrai must fell annoyed with every one asking for something. I mean think about it you come up with a great idea. you get asked to make more until you have too many people wanting high demand. the developers just want it to stop the asking and let them do what they want. but it keep's going and going. Its hard for a creator of games that take a long time.
We need to have both Boog the Bear and Elliot the Deer in as new DLC Fighters for both versions of Smash. The game needs to have them. You can't forget that.
I wonder if Sakurai still voice King Dedede in this game....., btw, thanks for adding the multiplayer options! sadly a lot of challenges require to play alone.....so.....
In or to unlock everything at a friend's house, you just need to log in with your Nintendo ID account in that console. Everything saved on that one will unlock on the new console. But you need a wireless connection on both.
@anhJer 2 player isn't pointless, a friend isn't the only person you can play with, unless you're an only child then mabye its pointless for you, but if you have brothers or sisters then you can easily play with them
Hey Mr. Sakurai! Is there a way to make items randomize better or at least a way to reduce repeated items while unlocking everything. Or at least make the shop have mor things I don't already have? since launch, I haven't got a new mii hat or outfit. And I just need the last outfit and the special hats. Is there a criteria for all the hats that each one needs to be unlocked?
sakurai is this glitch that can corrupt your save data real in this game? please reply back in a post about this issue/rumor that's been going around. if it's real PLEASE FIX IT!!!

Im not sure if anybody is aware of this but there as been many complaints about Wii U's breaking after playing Super Smash Bros Wii U mostly on the online Going for Glory mode but some people have said they have had crashes offline aswell. The crash appears during gameplay and asks to reformat hardrive while playing and then WiiU's have crashed. Check the miis i have followed for more information.
If you are asked to reformat hardrive while playing a game on Wii U don't, if you can go to system settings go to system settings and delete the game that crashed with its DLC and reinstall them again.
Well....My brothers suck at the game, and i don't have any friends that play smash bros, but online is AWESOME! I do think that there is room for improvement though.
Why are there STILL people who say "I have the game, therefore PotD is pointless"? US 'STRALYANS AND THE JAPANESE ACTUALLY DON'T HAVE THE GAME YET! Just because you do doesn't mean THE WORLD DOES!

AWESOME!!!!!! Me and my older twin brother have currently been trying to beat the events. However, he's currently busy playing Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. And did you know it's been 13 years since Melee came out? Today is its 13th anniversary, along with Pikmin! Also, when will Pichu be added as a DLC character?
So... does Amiibo work with the co-op mode? I'm asking because I don't have the game yet. It won't change my decision, but I'd like to know if I'll be relying on my siblings or a computer for a partner.
