Personally not a fan of feeding equipment to my Amiibo. I do feel that some "Negative impact" abilities would help the game overall like Weakened Shield Regeneration & Dodgy Dodger alongside a good ability like Smooth Lander. It's just unfortunate getting these abilities are random to obtain.

I've heard that feeding your amiibo equipment actually hinders how well they could actually be performing. Because their stats are skewed, the end learning how to battle under abnormal conditions. I've seen on YouTube that in most cases, not feeding an amiibo equipment and simply putting it through rigorous training yields a stronger fighter. That way, they start to learn combos and advanced tech.

Wow barely anyone fills up his comments now since the Wii U version came out. So if you use the same character as the amiibo...the amiibo learns moves easier pretty cool...when I get my sonic amiibo (and all the rest of the amiibos when I get the game for christmas) I'll teach it some pro player moves and he'll be unstoppable

I only use equipment in "Games & More" modes, so no feeding for King Kirby. I trained him with maskless Meta Knight. Hopefully at some point it will be revealed how the learning works. He feels only slightly different from a normal lvl 9 CPU to me.
