Hammer users: Always be smacking monsters upside the head. KO'ing a monster is one of the biggest perks of using a hammer - take advantage of that, and I guarantee your prescence in a room will always be greatly appreciated.

  • I think a similar thing could be said about blade users and tails. I can't tell how many times I've seen a DS or LS user miss a perfect opportunity to chop of a tail while a monster's KO'd or Para'd

horns>hammers there longer, do a huge amount of effects and affects, and dont need time for a charge just instant smash with X+A

  • If this was MHFU i'd agree with the guy above me. But seeing as hunting horns have changed since then and are harder to control, hammers in my opinion are better. Of course, each person has their choice of whats better.

  • For one thing, hammers are only helpful if the person using it can pull of at least one stun per monster. Secondly, tail cutting, i generally avoid it because i dislike getting tripped/launched by other players who refuse to learn how to hit a monster without hitting their team, same for the hammer situation. I mean if you go in to attack the head when someones bashing it, its your fault..

  • I would agree with you Gatekeeper if you're talking about another hammer user or HH attacking the head. All others should make way.

  • @Jas: Wut? Hammers are faster than HH, and the strongest hammer is better than the strongest HH...sure, they both operate in the same capacity as far as ko'ing, but hammer does it better. Gate: It's not hard to pull off a ko. Dunno about you, but nobody should go for the head if there's a hammer user in the party. More hits is preferable.
