[amiibo Rumor – Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, & Villager discontinued?] Video Games Plus Canada is claiming that they were told by their official Nintendo distributor that the 3 amiibo mentioned above have officially been discontinued after VGP attempted to re-order more for their in store stock. If true, then it means whatever remains still in stores are all that’s left of the stock for the 3 figures

Any word on an external peripheral for us "old" 3DS users?

There is an upcoming NFC adapter for the 3DS. Should be available sometime in the first months of 2015 (I bet around the release of the New 3DS)

@Cam What Eggman said, though the actual date is still unknown. I don't believe Japan nor Australia have them. Nintendo will want to push the sales of the new 3DS versus offering a device for the old one so we'll see how it goes Oh and once we know a date or more info for that peripheral we'll post it [Koi]

Although I probably won't get the Marth, Villager, or Wii Fit Trainer amiibos, this is still a dumb chaotic mess that Nintendo REALLY needs to clean up!

[Update] Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of America both have sent out updated messages regarding amiibo. Both seem a bit like the usual PR messages

Diddy Kong is nowhere to be found, I'm a bit disappointed right now but it would be likely they reproduce DK's best buddy in a later date. I ordered all the non-exclusive amiibo on Amazon.ca, the exclusive ones are not yet listed in canadian sites other than Meta Knight (already sold out ;_;).
