    Like the deviljho, the head of the diablos can be broken twice. Capture if you want an even better chance to get it. I know dem feels though. I needed 3 black diablos horns. I got 2 in my first two quests. Then during my next six quests, I got zero. On my last attempt before rage-quitting, the quest rewards gave me four. -_-

    break both horns. not just one,BOTH. capping will not help. best chance is the plain dangerous adv quest. good luck!

    Yeah, capturing has no effect on getting hardhorns. You either break both horns on a diablos, or you get a chance as a regular quest reward from the advanced quest "Plain Dangerous" as swank said. Capturing does give a chance at large wyvern stones though.
