    Only on the 8 player smash menu just turn them on and make sure they are all synced beforehand

    how do you sync 8 controllers before hand if you can only sync four controllers? because you said before hand, so doesn't that mean before you enter 8-player smash menu?

    Your thinking too hard. All 8 of them just have to work on tour system. Sync 4 at a time to your system on the controller setup screen on the home menu then after that go to 8 player smash besides you can only play with up to 7 wii remotes
