I think this turned out pretty well for a drawing I gave up on earlier in the week (just couldn't get the face right). Her eyes are still a little small (they are freaking huge in the anime), but my shading is better than what is found in the anime.

Thanks PoisonIvy! Between this and Splatoon-girl, I think I have my mojo back. For a while, anyway.

  • Ha! It's a cool morning here, so most of the spiders are gone... Hiding under the leaves or something. But who know what rode in on my Christmas tree yesterday.

  • I assume you've seen Christmas Vacation? They had a squirrel ride in on their tree. Worst I've ever brought in is Pine beetles.

  • LOL yes love that movie! Great scene with the squirrel. Pine beetles? Were they difficult to get rid of? I don't think I've ever brought in anything on a Christmas tree...but lived in a house once that had an overwhelming number of LadyBugs in the Spring.

  • Yeah, I think the ladybugs that invade houses are a Chinese species, introduced in America to control aphids. The pine beetles pretty much died on their own (the tree oozed sap as a defense, and once covered with sap the beetles couldn't fly so they'd crawl about 6 feet from the tree and die. But it was a real mess, I had to sweep up a few hundred dead and dying beetles each morning.

  • Oh wow that is a mess. I would think sap covered beetles would be hard to sweep up. And that is ALOT of beetles. Chinese LadyBugs, I think I read about that. I love them but not in huge amounts. They smell really bad.
