Question

So, almost every time I asked for tips on Mark of a Hero, people say they used Azure Rath armor. Why? How does it help exactly?

    By default you get: Critical Eye +2, Earplugs, Sharpness With charms you can upgrade to: Critical Eye +3 or HG Earplugs (or both) So roars won't stun you and have less sharpening to do. Extra crits' help deal more damage as well. The armor is neutral to thunder and resistant to fire while slime is not an element. So you won't be at an elemental disadvantage either.

    Or you can stack some attack gems and get more raw damage, or bombardier for slimesplosions for more easy damage and help on part breaks.

    Never used any rathalos armor before, but they're right. Either way the i. lagi is gona be your biggest problem. if you can get decent lightning res and pack a strong dragon weapon it could help. i think i did it with the aelucanth set- comes with HG ear plugs and dragon atk +1. you just have to cancel out demonic blessing with 1 protection deco, and the fire weakness with a good charm and decos.

    once the lagi is down, you might want to focus you attention on the brachy- it'll draw them together so the brachy can tear up the rathalos, which will most likely go down first, for you! good luck!

    if u can go for the azure soul armor z its the armor i use and is well balanced when your hit with slime just roll 3 times

    Solo g rank is an option. If you are attempting three monsters at g rank level you might as well dive in and solo g rank with one on one hunts, and then you could at least have a higher damage weapon

    @Doom, except for the problem of a Deviljho quest being one of the key quests to G-Rank, who I mainly hate for his defense-lowering Saliva... it just gets quite annoying...

    OKAY! if you have hunters for hire, than you CAN get the entire Aelucanth set. if you're down to gather, it's made of nothing but bugs, and the ones you cannot gather are found by your hunters for hire! only problem is if ypu want the g-rank set you'll have to hunt a s. zin- if you can survive til he's tired, then make him trip over and collect the bugs off his back...

    it's definitely risky business for the g rank set if you're solo. the high rank, will involve, of course, collecting some of the regular zins bugs (as well as some pale extract from the giginox).

    Deviljho seems to give lots of hunters a problem. I've always just ran between its legs and swung like a madman when its does the tail swipes or dragonbreath, and hit its head when its just drooling and standing around. That and some tainted/drugged/poisoned meats and bombs and its more like deviljoke, amiright? anywho, good hunting to you!
