I don't know I like bulbasaur but i've always had a thing for water types probably because in my first game pokemon soulsilver the starter I chose was totodile, because he looked absolutely adorable!!!

    Bulbasaur is probably the best Generation 1 starter. It's great against the first couple of gyms, and by the time trainers use its weaknesses more, there are plenty of options for your team.
