    IV's are pretty much values determined at a pokemon's birth. These values represent every stat from a range of 0 to 31. The higher the IV's in a stat, the stronger the pokemon is in said stat. A full 31 IV's in each stat is equivalent to having about 100 extra EV's in said stat. When most talk about IV's however, they mention how many stats bearing perfect IV's they have.
