First of all, it's Haley not Hailey. Second the correct work is like this: 2x^2 + 5 = 69 2x^2 = 64 x^2 = 32 x = 4sqrt2 or -4sqrt2 Again I'm doing college level math. I'm 100% right.

No, I'm not perfect. But I'm in Precalculus, and we learned this recently. There are multiple ways to solve it. Quadratic Formula, Distribution, Synthetic Division, x-y chart... I'll try the chart.

What grade are you in? You clearly don't know how to do math. Why are you doubting me when I'm telling you 100% that my answer is correct. Use a calculator. Check it.

wait i didnt do pemdas right 2x²+5=69 5-5=0 69-5=64 x²(2)=64 x²=32 √32= 5.65685424949 another way is √32= 4sqrt2 or -4sqrt2

But that means my answer was right. I knew it couldn't be 4 because the square root wasn't even, and 2(4)²=32 not equal to 64.
