Do you care about your For Glory win rate? How much do you care? Are you one of those people who look for scrubs to always win against? Or do you use your losing exp to learn how to get better, even if your win rate suffers from experimentation?

  • Well, it's a popular platformer fighting game, and the previous installments (specifically melee) had good competitive scenes. This game is similar ishhh to Brawl, so it won't appeal to the majority of competitive players. Still, it's a fighting game, so of course there will be stuff such as tourneys and heavy research of the meta game, because potential. It's fine if you don't like competitive

  • play though, everyone has their own opinions. A good amount of people only play for fun anyway.

  • Yeah. Just played For Glory. (1vs1.) I get mad if the game does like the up B backwards. Or I get trapped under the stage. Or it does side B when I did neutral B.

  • The spamming is bad, though. It's like UMVC3 and MVC3.

  • @COOLKID: That sucks. The reverse B moves in air are actually considered advanced techniques though haha. For neutral B, I can't really say anything about that, except just make sure to completely let go of the analog stick or something. Spammers are annoying, freaking Charizard.. And Nate does that also apply to melee tournaments?

  • melee is the reason why i just don't look at smash the way i do anymore

  • That only happened once with Sonic. (The Neutral B Incident.) Spammers: Ness, Luigi, Pikachu, Link (you don't see much Links though), Marth/Lucina, Mario/Dr. Mario.

  • Honestly a big part of the melee community is.. A not good community? ^^; but that game is deep. Sakurai made Brawl so slow because melee had too much of a skill gap between players. Mm maybe they're trying to learn how to zone? Or something.

  • I prefer no items because they bug me, but I still mainly play just to have fun. I doubt I'll ever reach “Pro” status, but I don't mind.

  • I used to play with just the Smash Ball, but stopped that cuz after a while people just dropping the fight to go for the ball bugged me ^^; (also if this is like a reply to my message earlier, sorry againnn I have a hard time with that kinda thing. I was playing for a few hours with my bro so couldn't really check)

  • I know a lot of people that prefer items, you're not alone.

  • I agree with Nate. People take it WAY too seriously and become arrogant, even when they lose. The competitive scene borderlines on being the cancer of smash sometimes. Most recent example is when death and "other threats" were sent to that competition founder who cut "that one smash" in favor of Smash 4

  • Don't get me wrong, I like items, but it just annoys me when people will spam them is all.
