So I've been going back and clearing all the port quests I missed while ranking up and decided to use GS to do it. I gotta say it's pretty sweet. Focus has been a huge help in taking advantage of openings. TL; DR: try GS! It's fun!

  • Lol I'm still doing the village! I thoght it was short like the 3 Wii, but I'm on the second half now with the subspecies. Haven't even started on the port yet!

  • Yeah, Greatswords are quite fun. I have a set that I use with the fully-upgraded Deviljho GS that gives me Focus, Quick Sheathe, Crit Draw, and Sharpness +1 for amazing hit-and-run action.

  • GS are the best imo and focus with critical draw and s+1 wrecks all day. Its especially good on the grand yamato set which is a beast of a gs set. Skills on mines are focus, critical draw, s+1, minds eye, and rocksteady. Very decent set without being mixed.

  • I have 2 sets one with focus and one without. The one without has focus, crit draw, partbreaker, and sharp +1. The one without has honed blade, crit draw, and quick sheath. I use the 2nd for when I want to ruin a monsters day lol

  • That'll definitely do it! XD. Another great thing about greatswords (pun intended lol) is that it has the highest stagger ratio of any wep and can flinch lock monsters easily if u use it right and kill them in mins.

  • My absolute favorite is using a GS to wake a monster. Especially if you're chopping off the tail.

  • Ya it deals so much extra damage, especially comin from a lvl 3 charged swing.

  • If I have a GS user in the group and I'm gunning I'll sleep the monster just for tail chops

  • I just love using that level 3 charge attack to give the monster an incredibly rude awakening.
