    Close range coatings boost all attacks with in a certain range. The close you are the stronger the coating is. C. Range is stronger than power between zero to two backhops away, two to four backhops it's equal to power coating, and 5 backhops and above they are weaker than power.

    There is an optimum distance to fire arrows from for the most raw damage. Normally, being too close will lower your raw damage. With close range coatings, you will still do optimum damage even if you are too close. Additionally, they increase the sharpness of the arrow slash.
