    Sweep beam. I know you can dodge it if you stay to its left, however most of the time of I have my bow out I have a hard time staying on that side.

    Okay then, anticipate all of it's attacks when you bow. With your bow unsheathed you should always be 5-10 moves ahead of the monster. Also with pierce bowing you need him to face you all the time and that's a double egded sword because at anytime you can take damage.
