  • So many beautiful kimono's are thrown in the trash after someone dies. People just don't have room for stuff and no one wants to buy used things, so into the garbage. It's a different way of thinking. It's like how they generally smash down the house and build a new one when someone new moves in. People don't move much. Maybe once or twice a life.   • st things in the country are very efficient. For example, they reuse most building materials. The kimono thing is also part of the culture shift in Japan where the old way of doing things is going away very fast now. You don't see much of old Japan along side the new. They are a very in the moment people, enjoy it now for it will wilt and go to dust quickly. It's why blossom festivals.
