Yoshi's Island was surprisingly nostalgic for me, even tho I was a skrub who played it on GBA.

  • I honestly think the GBA version is almost just as good as the SNES version. The sound quality isn't THAT much worse.

  • The sound quality is better on GBA.

  • I want to believe that you're sarcastic, because that's one of the stupidest things I've heard today. GBA has in fact a much poorer soundchip than the SNES (8-bit and I think 22khz) while SNES can handle 16-bit sound which I think is 33khz, resulting in most GBA ports having much poorer sound than the original games. SMA3 was one of the better ports sound-wise, though. The sound quality of some -

  • Well, if you're playing your SNES on an old CR TV that was actually out at the time, the GBA would be better.

  • -other GBA games (like SMA2 and DKC2) was just plain horrible. They really butchered their soundtracks. ;-;

  • That doesn't change the fact that GBA has a much poorer soundchip than SNES. The speakers of the device don't matter. That's like saying the music of SSB3DS is worse quality of the music of an N64 games just because the speakers are worse, even though 3DS still in fact has a way better soundchip than an N64.

  • Listen, I don't want to get into an argument over some stupid soundchip.

  • Also, I'm pretty sure the TVs at the time had better sound quality than a GBA because of having bigger speakers. I used to own an old TV, and it actually had really good sound quality. Also, you technically started it by saying GBA has better sound quality than a SNES, which is very wrong, but sure, we can end the argument here.

  • It's not like I continued to say SNES' was worse after your first comment.

  • Okay.
