  • I haven't played the 3DS version but I can recommend the Wii U version wholeheartedly. I've only played around seven hours and its been a blast so far. :)

  • I say yes to buying the wiiu version, its better in every way compared to 3ds mh3u. Now with that said, yes mh4u is coming here in a couple months for 3ds only unfortunately, but it will have full online capabilities and that one will be better except for the graphics. Basically to sum it up buy both if you can, it's well worth the money for the amount of time invested.

i was not and will never be fan of the handheld versions. i only played MH, MH2, MH3, and MH3U graphically the console versions will always be easier on the eyes. hardware wise, they'll have much more contents. and the controllers... the controllers. nuffsaid. many of the console lovers like me will stick with MH3U for wiiu, since capcom doesn't plan to release 4 for consoles. i vote "buy"

  • MH3U is still an excellent game despite what what MH4 hypsters say. If you can, get the Wii U version. You'll be able to play online with others wirelessly. The 3DS can be played online, but you'll have to buy a USB to ethernet adapter, & connect your Wii U to the internet via ethernet cable. Then you'll have to run a Packet Relay app on the 'U to get the 3DS online.

  • You can still access all in game quests solo on the wii u, if you'd rather not play online. A good number of ppl still play online, so while you'll have to search & deal with a few trolls, there are still some ppl willing to help others online.
