    Dire is mostly weak to dragon, & somewhat weak to ice. Slime, of course, works too. Dire has some nasty fire attacks, so armor with high fire resistance is recommended. You won't need cold drinks, so don't worry about taking those or traps and hand thrown bombs, none work on it.
