    aesthetics is the least important aspect of armor in this game. In addition to providing basic defense, armor provides (& takes away) elemental resistances. Armor also provides "skill points" Skill points, when enough are accrued, unlock skills that affect your hunter in various ways.

    armor is good but skill as a hunter is better if u are skilled enough to not get hit then armor is for nothing more than asthetics
