So, I looked at the gallery and outside of Japan, the material put forth by the rest were terrible! The Japanese contribution looked beautiful although I could not judge the story content due to lack of understanding Japanese.

  • That's kinda rude don't you think?, did you just looked at the drawings and said this is terrible so the story is to?, comic/manga is not just about the drawings and for the record in the gallery there are bad japanese contributed drawings and some awesome "west" drawings, on another note you can't compare the roughly 10 users that actually use the gallery to the japanese users who are more active

  • This being a visual medium....yes! It did effect my desire to read the contents. How many do you realistically think will read a comic if the art was unappealing? The funny thing is that some members draw well here but I don't see them sharing their talent using Comic Workshop. The Japanese have great cover art which entices me to look further. So far everyone else...not so much!

  • It is a shame that some artists using Colors 3D to make short comic strips aren't using Comic Workshop.

  • That is true, but even if they can't draw really good the users of comic workshop should post whatever they draw in the gallery.(You can't get better at drawing if you not draw)

  • I don't mean to imply that they should not upload their creation. I was just disappointed that there was not one decent non Japanese who drew me into his/her work.

  • Then you didn't search far enough, meomeongungu works for one are amazing, but again as almost no one is active in the gallery, good drawers prefer to not waste their time and upload work that people are not gonna see

  • As Kouichi explained it, there is a huge gap in number of users but I personally think that most of “English” entries are pretty great. Do you guys have any idea on how to make North Americans and Europeans users post more? We have many registered accounts everyday but nobody seem to be posting anything ^^.

  • I think the company that created Comic Workshop should start a weekly or monthly contest. Either have a weekly/monthly theme or have "ingredients" that participants must use when creating their comic (inspiration taken from the TV show, "Chopped").
