    you have to go into sparkle mode and go to rooms and you should be able to connect a room and to open the fire place take the wand and hit the fire place when the little icons show up hit the one with the gears, thenhit properties and turn the door open switch on :)

    you use the majic wand press Y select fireplace open and you have a open fireplace!
