can someone please comment and tell me why most people find Fi annoying I am genuinely curious, i found her computer like personality to be funny, and I thought it was touching that she said she experienced feelings with the help of link at the end of the game.

"Master, Your Wii remote is nearly depleted." Much worse then Navi's HEY.

the wii mote thing is helpful and she only occasionally told you exactly where to go, often she would give clues more than tell you where to go. sigh

Fi was fine the 100th time she told you useless info, but after the 101th, it got kind of old. (im actually curious why people hate Navi from Oot)

With Navi you can at least skip her text box fast. with fi your sword keeps flashing constantly and making a notification sound until you talk to her, once you do she says the batteries are low but the text speed is really slow and can't be skipped. it gets annoying after awhile.

"Master, the batteries in your wii remote are nearly depleted." Thanks Fi, I definitely didn't see that flashing icon in the corner of the screen! "Master, your hearts are low." Fi, I heard the beeping and saw the flashing hearts. Shut up.

I try to use my battery all up to get my moneys worth out of them. We really shouldn't get scolded to change it before it actually dies. I mean the game auto pauses when it dies anyways to prevent falling or death by an enemy. Over time that 1 wasted battery bar will add up if it's continuous. So if I want the battery to die you have to deal with fi nagging on you about it. Just a slight problem.

She's too intrusive. Every time something of significance happens, she pops up just to summarize what was just said, or to comment on a new area that you clearly saw for yourself. A lot of these instances seem entirely unnecessary.

And it gets worse. There is at least one time in the game where she literally solves a puzzle for you. Remember hitting the timeshift stone while inside the Sandship? She flat-out told you about that, without even giving you a chance to figure it out on your own.

in all fairness we had already encountered time shift srones so it's not like we didn't know it wasn't going to be important (is that grammaticaly correct?) also commenting on the new areas is character building you get a sense of what Fi thinks like (in this case a computer) and talking about finding zelda is basically her "primary" function so it stands to reason she would talk about it a lot.

also in case it wasn't clear I am not trying to change anybodies mind about Fi. I am merely debating the pros and cons etc. about her.

It's not the timeshift stone itself. What she solves got you is looking through the grate on the ceiling to FIND the timeshift stone. It doesn't take more that the initial greeting to learn that her speech is mechanical. The only time she should be popping up is to say something important, and frequently halting gameplay to make a useless comment about your surroundings (that you can clearly...

@nintendoer Do you put spoilers on every post of yours? yeah I see where you're coming from but, i personally don't have a problem with it, that was imo one of the least challenging puzzles in the game, she saved me 5 seconds of looking around to get on to the meat of the dungeon (is it still called a dungeon if it's on a boat?) also i find her chattering, a xhance to relax my sometimes white -

No, just the ones that have spoilers. You have responded back saying that you personally don't mind all the intrusive dialogue. While I respect your opinion, it does not contribute to the question presented at the beginning of the post; what makes Fi annoying to most.
