Not gonna lie, but playing the sequel before this game was a mistake. The sequel is much tighter and more balanced, and its difficulty curve is much smoother and less hyper-critical of mistakes. This game is still good, but it will feel much less polished than its sequel if you play them out of order. It's like playing Persona 3 after playing Persona 4, if you're familiar with those two games.
