  if you need a ton of halos (such as for fighting a certain secret boss) this is the trick I've been using for years. first get gaze of despair and sergei's lover from rodin. next play on hard and go to chapter 3. play until you reach this alfheim in the enclosed picture. enter it. taunt the angels to gain magic. once you have a full bar activate sergei and pick up the angel bow. then attack.

  chaining combos and keeping it going is the key. also use the x button attack with the bow, you get more points. when your bow is destroyed from use, get another, being sure to dodge enemy attacks. if done. when you get to the Beloved, you have two options. beat him or let him beat you so you can do it all over again and get more halos without restarting the chapter. Hope this helps.
