This is where it all starts -- grinding down the rail of a suspension bridge. This gave birth to the concept of re-creating Radical Highway.

See all those yellow fish turbines from the Big Hero 6 building tools? Those were used to represent the blimps that appear in the actual stage.

This Toy Box is actually my entry for last week's Power Disc Challenge. I used Jim Hawkins' Solar Board as my inspiration. Why? Because the lighting effects resemble those of Shadow's sneakers, and the board itself speaks to the feeling of gliding through the different sections of the level.

Throughout my level, you'll find construction elements representing signs and barricades seen in the actual stage. I tried to make the number of elements in a given area proportionate to what you'd seen in the game.

Ordinarily, you'd need a Light Dash to get across here, so I chose to represent this with moving gold platforms. I had considered using yellow orbs, but they would have interfered with what I actually use those for...

All rockets are represented in my level as teleport devices. In this particular area, you would normally need to find the orb-shaped switch to unlock it. While this isn't necessary to advance in my level, I included my own version of the switch to pay tribute to the original design.

Rotating cylinders, which require you to somersault underneath, are represented using the Asgardian conveyor belts.

One of my favourite areas is this building interior, where you are launched from spring to spring to emerge out the opposite end from the bottom. Here I used Super Cannons, strategically placed to minimize time spent touching ground and instead have the player follow a domino effect.

Here is where you would find an early appearance of the G.U.N. Beetle, represented here as flipping platforms to convey the two states that many of them have: stoic vs. shielded.

Getting back to the yellow orbs, I used these to represent Ring Capsules. Each time you collect one, the counter will be triggered and you'll earn 10 Rings!

There are two points in Radical Highway where you'll have a real close call with jet fighter missiles. Do you know where the trigger spots are in the game?

Wherever you see sets of rails, those are to represent the signposts you swing from at certain points in the level to reach higher ground.

Just like in the actual level, wind pushes you upward as a safety net if you fail to cross the higher path at this juncture. You'll still wind up in the same place, but you'll miss a surprise or two.

On the final path leading to the finish, you'll spot purple turbines, and these represent the NiGHTS structures featured in that area.
