I've probably said this like 7 times before, and I know there's supposed to be "a new nemesis", but in my humble opinion Ganon and/or Ganondorf should be the final boss of Zelda U. I get they want Zelda to be new, but Ganon/Ganondorf has actually only appeared as a boss in 8 of the 17 main canon games. The last time he appeared in an original game as the boss was Twilight Princess from 2006.

  • Hyrule Warriors is non-canon like I said before. The requirements to satisfy my cravings to fight ganon in HD are as follows: 1. Must be a main canon game 2. Must not be a remake 3. Must be actually fightable, NOT just mentioned or made an appearance 4. Must actually be ganon/ganondorf, NOT someone else with the same attack patterns I am a picky man and I want to fight Ganon/Ganondorf in HD.

  • 1. Word of God says ZWU is not really canon 2. HW is not a remake 3. All bosses repeat patterns 4. He IS actually fightable.

  • Hyrule Warriors is non-canon. Must be a canon game. And are we talking about the Word of God on MiiVerse? I'd love to, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't say that and we're not allowed to discuss religion/politics so...

  • 5. Must not be a spin off and must be developed by Nintendo.

  • In my veiw it depends on where Zelda U will be in the timeline whether or Ganondorf will be in it :-). As I think Zelda U will likely be before or after Skyward Sword and possibly in the Era of Prosperity or in the Era of Chaos :-). We might see something closer to Demise than to Ganondorf, but I don't know since Garondorf himself shouldn't be in the game before Ocarina of Time timewise ;^^.

  • "Word of God" actually means "it's actually said by officials." ZWU is still non-canon as I heard, so there

    Yeahs1
  • The thing is things change, and everything happens for a reason, the story is going go evolve in a natural way and with that come changes. The play will be Zelda, simply using differant actors. Ganandorf plays a role he needed to play. If his time is up, it is up. The stort will not stop and play catch up. Nor will it run in place going nowhere.

  • Allright, Yeah thanks for keeping an open mind.:]

  • @Bre, where did you see Zelda U won't be canon?

    Yeahs1
  • @Bre, why didn't you say so the first time. I'll just call them Zelda officials and refrain from blasphemy. @Maurin, they've resurrected and reincarnated him so many times, he BETTER NEVER stop coming back. The classic Zelda story should remain as the spine or foundation of the series.

    Yeahs0
  • *Mauri, sorry

  • Golley people... All I'm trying to say is I'd like a traditional LOZ, ALTTP, OoT story line. With Link as the main protagonist, Zelda as the damsel, and Ganondorf/Ganon as the nemesis. Why is that too difficult to understand?

    Yeahs0
  • We understand. You want familiarity. While at the same time having a new and rewarding adventure with solid and consistant homages and respect paid to the past and legacy.

    Yeahs1
  • Thank you Edo for getting it! And I'm willing to admit, maybe that makes me a bit old fashioned, but why can't old fashioned be a good thing every now and then?

    Yeahs0
  • Nothing wrong with that. I was just sharing my thoughts. I also hope they keep Ganon around for as long as the series continues. As for Zelda, I like when she is given more to do in the story than just wait to be rescued, so I hope that trend continues. They are aiming for a classic feel for this game so I'm sure us old-school fans will be pleased.

    Yeahs1
  • Thier is nothing old fashioned about it. We must remember the past and learn from it. Live and love in the moment. And have the future be zenith. I look at it as generations of families. The new Zeldas build and evolve from the old ones. Taking great pride in every succesor and predecesor. All the games make a greater whole, they are the reflection of the times we are in.

    Yeahs2
  • ganon i THE BOSS of zelda he is power itself says the games and deserves to be in more games. i'm hoping the "new nemisis" is a zant like thing
