If I had a nickel for everytime i've been ask that same question xD... ya see what ya gotta do is notice the pixels and such, try to be a careful as you can when making lines, how the pixel are will help with straight lines, as for patterns you have to go up and down, side to side, and criss cross and such, it's really about focus

Well I could relate to that, I use to do the same myself, but lemme tell ya, always keep it around, it could help out in the future later, as for making a new art, it takes work but for he best results, seek out some inspirations for guidelines to a new style (without plagiarizing that is) and it takes about 2-4 hours to make pictures for me now, from sketching, clean up, fixing lines, and shading
