    I'm just saying you have better options. While nearly any pokemon can be quite useful, Pikachu's base stats are on the low side. It's pretty good for contests, though. And it's interesting that it can wear costumes.

    thats all very true. Except for the fact that it sucks in contests when you first get it because the only thing you can use it in is cool contests. I tried doing a cute contest with it i got last place....

    And it can't even breed, either. But at least there's Pikachus in the Safari Zone that can. If 2 Pikachus breed at the day-care center and the male one holds a light ball, the offspring should know Volt Tackle.
