    There was this one guy I ran into that claimed he was 16 when the first pokemon games came out. He still plays so... When did the first games come out during the 1990s... So, 2014-1990 (approx) + 16... So, maybe in his late 30s or early 40s...

    first games came out in japan in 1996 and they were called red and green they didnt come out with blue until almost a year latter they didn't come out with the american version until 1997-1998. i of course had the cards well before the games. i still have the very original 151 pokemon cards
