  • Do you mean just like what is a competitive team? It's a team of pokemon that people put together specifically for competing against other players online or in person. So they have been IV breed, EV trained, and have the right movesets, items, natures, and abilities.

  • Competitive Pokemon are usually bred to have 6 IVs. EVs should be spread depending on the role you want that Pokemon to have in your team (tank, offensive, etc). For example, a friend of mine has a Ferrothorn he trained to be a super-tank. It has amazing Def, and has the moves Leech Seed, Gyro Ball, Curse, and Iron Defense. Leech Seed can heal some damage, and IronDef+Curse raise Def even more.

  • His Ferrothorn's Curse also makes Gyro Ball gradually stronger. I've battled that Ferrothorn three times, and only managed to beat it once, sacrificing my MiloTank and Rapidash...I don't train my Pokemon with super-competitive play in mind.
