So I'm battling Kyogre. I've tried so many times to capture it, but my team keeps dying when I try to get him.(I could knock him out in a single move.) Do I need him anywhere in the game?

    You don't need it anywhere else. So you could always KO it, then beat the elite 4 to respawn it and come back later when you are more prepared. If you have a shedinja, it's really useful for catching kyogre, since it can't hurt shedinja and shedinja can use moves like false swipe and heal block.

    You do not need to capture him for game plot. I suggest stocking up on dive and dusk balls if you want to better odds capturing it.
