    Hmm, I think I'd have to go with Sinnoh, because I loved Turtwig, Shinx, and Dialga, and I might run into a Shaymin there, too.

    The reason is nobody would live for over 5 years in the Pokemon universe. According to the Pokedex, Ghost types steal people away or take their souls. One of the creepiest Pokedex entries is Gourgeist's Y entry. It states it takes people away while singing joyfully in the progress. Also, Phantumps are supposedly dead children who got lost in the forest. And don't forget the villainous teams.

    I think people would be able to live. It's not like the ghost type pokemon are taking as many as they probably can. Remember the golden rule: Don't go into the tall grass without a Pokemon! Most people would have a pokemon to defend them.

    Clancy has a point. Wild pokémon would only attack you if enraged somehow. However, animals in real life would mercilessly tear your flesh apart. Change your mind? And in the Pokéverse, there are barely any hardships and sorrows, and it's all just like the make-believe dreamworld of your childhood. But in the real world, it's all bills, bills, starvation, bills, bills, bills...

    And don't even get me started on the terrorists out there. You don't see people bombing Sinnoh or Hoenn, do you? And let's say the villains succeed in, oh, I don't know, capturing Arceus and destroy EVERYTHING, you can just move to another region. :P And if I had to choose a region to live in, I would go with Unova or Sinnoh. Gotta love Shaymin and Kyurem. :D

    Nobody said the pokemon universe is carefree. There are still jobs, bills, etc. If any evil team succeeded, they would most likely move on to the next region. Your role in the games is too be the one trainer that can stop them.

    True, very true. But if you had the choice to live in the Pokéverse, surely you would have the choice to choose between living a normal life with your battle-ready friends, or stopping a team of people who want to capture the main legendary of the game and rule the region. And the only jobs I've seen are being a nurse, vet, police, chef, waiter/waitress, ect. But I think your right, Looker.
