    Competitive people can enjoy Smogon if they want, but I prefer using my own team of random wild pokemon that I may want and evolve them. (If they have evolutions.)

    The foundation of their rules, such as their clauses and tier lists make the game balanced and therefore more enjoyable. Their decisions to remove certain pokemon from standard play can be questionable at times; but overall I suppose I support what they do for the competitive community.
