    Greninja isn't banned. Pokemon isn't dictated by Smogon's rules. You can still use Greninja if you want to.

    I've come across lots of people who use ubers that are very good players. Just because you use them or like them doesn't always mean that you're a bad player. And also, your statement is incorrect. Competitive battling cannot be based off of Smogon rules because the Pokemon battle mechanics were made way before Smogon even existed. Pokemon is meant to be played just the way it was made.

    Not true, I use ubbers. There is a huge difference between strong and even stronger pokemon. Obviously a ditto is not going to beat a well trained Scizor. No reason to ban him.

    Ubers are pretty danf cheep, I do agree that Greninja is less cheep but come on mega Kangaskhan, Agislash, just about every legendary.

    All of the pokemon you have just mentioned can be OHKO'd by a pokemon with high attack power and a type advantage. Ubers aren't cheap, they're just viewed as OP by the internet because someone used them well. Battling with the Smogon rules is all well and good, but it isn't the default way to play. It just makes things more interesting when you play with a handicap.

    I do agree, you want a fair battle. But when someone used it well then everyone copies that idea and it becomes over used and then uber. I prefer to just have battles with no ubers.

    In the end, my point is that if you're worried someone will see you as a bad player for using an 'uber', don't. Nintendo hasn't banned ubers. They probably don't even know what they are. It was banned by the internet. First thing you should know about the internet is that nobody there has any control over what you do. In the end, it's up to you whether or not you play with these restrictions.

    So anyways, I wouldn't be going around expecting random people to adhere to Smogon's rules. They may not have even heard of it. I personally just don't want people dc'ing when I show off my team consisting of only a Mega ☆Rayquaza. It's just so Majestic... :']
