Why did Archie need Kyogre anyway? I mean, it's cool and all, and I appreciate having one, but why did he need a pokemon to do it? Doesn't he realize there's a whole song dedicated to creating torrential downpours? It's pretty catchy, too.

    Kyogre is far more effective than a song, and it is able to make rain by simply existing, making Team Aqua's quest to increase the size of the ocean succeed. Almost identical reasoning to Maxie wanting Groudon in OR, the differences being the weather caused and reversal of what grows and what shrinks.

    Yeah. But the song of storms is catchy and will spread faster, and it's way easier to learn and record a song and put it on loop on a boombox than it is to locate the blue orb, steal it, and summon Kyogre. If he wanted a strong pokemon, Kyogre is one of the best.
