    i figured not.. even if you did somehow manage to trade it all the way up for XD: gale of darkness i think it would need to be purified.. but yeah it would be a great addition to the game. shadow pokemon rule

    No, Shadow Lugia itself was only in Gale of Darkness. It is however possible to transfer a purified Shadow Lugia from Gale, to RSEFrLg, DPPtSsHg, BWB2W2, and then Poke Transfer. Essentially, if you see or have a Lugia that knows Psycho Boost and has a National Ribbon. That very Lugia was once Shadow Lugia. But again there's now way to catch Shadow Lugia in ORAS. Only in Gale.

    ahh i see now so there are ways of verifying that it was once a shadow lugia but theres not way to keep it in its original shadow state. that makes sense. i just wish they would have made it possible to keep him in shadow form. that would make lugia priceless and a nice addition to the collection. thanks again for everyone's input. i appreciate the feedback

    it would be insanity. almost like a dlc that has a wave of darkness expanding over the land and you have to discover the reason behind it all. you could create endless possible outcomes for a story like that
