We need to have it be similar to awakening as that's what made it successful Such as Simple reclassing,Good looking Gals/Guys, Marriage,Playable kids, An avatar and a Skip full of DLC (Lorries are for wimps). Although I do see the need of Adjusting the Difficulty level so it makes it a tad bit harder.

My personal questions for the topic. Presence of Awakening characters and link compatibility with Awakening? Amiibo support for the New 3DS players? Character names in the localization? Ability to port Avatar from Awakening?

I do wonder if Fire Emblem: Screw-European-Let's-go-to-Japan edition will be similar to Awakening. I wouldn't mind if it didn't...but I need my world map... ;^;

Avoiding information about it until release means I need to avoid Miiverse like the plague... I only want that information that I've listed above.

Well, I don't need L+. I want a difficulty that isn't just raise all stats, give enemys better weapons, more reinforcements etc. In L+ every attempt is different because the skills change everything and thus they make a chapter much more interesting. I want a difficulty that can accomplish the same goal.

Or they could just bring Chrom, the Avatar and the kids in with their official artwork hair so as to sever any possible pairings. Or port the game's pair-up data from the file you chose. ;p

World map is a must for me, I haven't played a FE without them.

So, we're on even terms about Awakening then. Excellent. I got the Awakening 3DSXL, and at first wasn't that interested in the game very much. But as I played on through it, I became more and more involved and shed tears over fiction for the first time in my life. If I can get a similar experience here, I'll be ecstatic.

As for the point about brand new, (don't quote me on this) isn't that kinda what they did with the second of the Tellius series? They had it set later but with references and guest appearances from its predecessor.

Oh... that's more prior experience than me... My closest thing to any prior experience with a TRPG was Pokémon Conquest. Awakening was quite literally the first title in the series I touched.

Then I get the satisfaction of brutally murdering it ALL OVER AGAIN!

@Rebecca You can't judge a mode that you haven't played, it is fun if you manage to get past the initial chapters. To the Excellus thing...what Gary said.

@Rebecca: At least Radiant Dawn still takes place in Tellius. FE14 barely looks like Ylisse. The only things that look similar are the Swordmasters, and possibly the Soldiers

I'm guessing that avatar creation will be present in new game, but I'm not shure about kids - I have no idea how they would implement them (another time travel? I don't think so, time skip? Something like "twenty years later" doesn't sound right). Despite that I'm certain that "FE: If" will be great, you will see. ;)

Honestly, I've got no idea on how to continue äfter Awakening's story... Avatar creation would be nice, especially regarding that strategy and decisions will have more effect than in Awakening. About the children aspect... Well, I really liked it, yet there are only two games with children, so it'll be unlikely.

@Yarumi ...Not Ninian again. I already grieved once. Then again I assumed it would be unrelated, might be a prequel to Awakening maybe, or a very distant sequel, but i doubt so, and frankly I'm GOOD WITH IT. I don't think Awakening needs a sequel that badly: it shined. Now let it set, and let the "new worlds" rise. I doubt the kids will appear... Seliphs & co. 2.5 would be a little lame...

I've got a weird feeling... At the end, there was this scene where one character (who looked like the one I mentioned before) turns into dust. I have the feeling that this guy will be like Emmeryn and somehow related to her and, while he was the "Lord" before, she then takes over his place...

Gut feeling, so probably wrong (although my gut feeling never was before): What if there are going to be "flashback chapters" where you basically are playing with characters ancestors? Although, random gut feeling. Likely wrong.

@Yarumi I'm okay with that. Just, please no Marth. He had 2 GAMES, 2 remakes of said games, Awakening Cameo, Shash Bros. partecipation, an ANIME OAV, cross-overs of the sort (last being in CODE NAME S.T.E.A.M)... He got FAR TOO MUCH love, imo. Time to move on.

@Rebecca Well, they could do it like this... Before the girl (as the main character) gets her promotion, she gets some special item, through which she could "see" the life of her ancestor (maybe one of those two guys fighting at the end). Through this, she somehow promotes and then (to explain the other mentioned cutscene), she'd end like Robin or become a goddess or something like that, and ->

@Strider It supposed to be the Mouth of Truth monument present in Rome. No idea how it's involved in the story tho... ...And it's better, if I may...

the others will or will not be able to save her in the end which could lead to a sequel (game or DLC) or a happy end. Just assumptions, though, and a fangirl making up possible plots.

@Angel But one thing speaking against Marth in this game: He wasn't in the trailer. Marth would end up as an important character and as such (in case he would appear) he would've been in the trailer.

Also, they need new classes. Griffon Riders need more love.

@Paul Holy Crud! So I go play the Monster hunter 4 Ultimate demo for about an hour, looked at this,typed the link in and Wow!

Some people also think that Kamui/avatar is the new lord (his/her sprite DOES look like a lord sprite)...which is honestly awesome. I know I said that I hoped the dancer was the new lord, but an MU as lord would be amazing (plus, the avatar wouldn't steal the spotlight like Robin did to Chrom).

@Angel: If Sumia or Nah are Einherjars, then I will smile. ^_^ @Rebecky: There's an image where some dude say that "the prince is naive", while Kamui's portrait is shown. So, possible MU is naive?

What I thought would be a good Idea is if you could have all your MU's from awakening travel through an outrealm gate and You have to beat all of them to recruit them.
